The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has officially authorized DraftKings to launch its multi-state online poker service. The operator is now live in the state through a partnership with the Bay Mills Indian Community.
The regulatory body confirmed that DraftKings satisfied all necessary compliance requirements. Henry Williams, the MGCB executive director, stated that the decision underscores the effectiveness of the collaboration with the Bay Mills Indian Community. He noted that the agency remains committed to maintaining strict standards for fairness, security, and player protection as the network expands.
Network Expansion
This authorization allows DraftKings players in Michigan to compete in liquidity pools shared with Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The integration expands the available player base and improves matchmaking options for users across these jurisdictions.
Michigan originally joined the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MIGA) in 2022. The compact currently includes Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia as member states.
